Staff Consultative Group
The University is committed to consulting with Staff about matters affecting their employment, including the matters specifically referred to in the Macquarie University Enterprise Agreement. To facilitate consultation, the university established the Staff Consultative Group.
The SCG was set up under the terms of the Enterprise Agreement 2006-2009 to facilitate consultation with staff. Under the terms of the agreement the SCG consists of a number of elected staff representatives and some nominees of the NTEU and CPSU. Under the agreement the SCG will provide a mechanism for direct consultation on workplace relations, human resources and other employment matters such as:
- implementation of the Agreement;
- developing, establishing, varying or revoking any policy, procedure, guideline or code of the University whether or not referred to in this Agreement;
- Staff development
- workplace diversity policy and programs; and
- strategic Occupational Health and Safety policy and programs.
